This kind of presentation is seen in women predominantly, when they have been taking care of a sick relative like parents, mother in law, husband or anyone for a long time & they tend to forget their own needs & emotions even.
Even if that phase of caring & worry is over, or if that family member passes away sometimes these persons tend to fall sick, as they feel EMPTY, USELESS, or as if they failed in some way to take care of that person..
For example- a person taking care of cancer patient, and the patient dies . The caregiver feels their efforts went in vain sometimes.
EMPTY NEST SYNDROME after the sick person gets well & moves on is also seen.
Above condition also brings in mixed emotions & depression at times, a conflicting state.
Another presentation is when a child grows up & leaves home for job. Mothers who are constantly fussing around them, feel the EMPTY NEST SYNDROME & start falling sick, or sleepless.
Above prominent remedies in this rubric are the most sensitive , caring & responsible ( who take responsibility very seriously ) , anxious by nature hence they are affected more as compared to others..
During history one should be able to find the timeline of complaints.. For example insomnia began after child left for higher education. Vertigo or HTN began after death of family member who was sick for months or years.
I have used COCC, NUX, PULS, CAUST, CALC, CARC, PHOS, AC PHOS quiet successfully in practice, on the basis of above history & this rubric.
