SOME USEFUL HYPERTENSION REMEDIES
These pointers are only for HTN, not for any pathology or organic d/s of heart. Usually subject is a young male, or female a with hormones affections , but not exclusively.
Remedies are placed in order of frequency of usage. Small or rare remedies or tincture are not added as they don’t need much indications.
SUJPHUR- Sanguine, psoric, often businessman or in service with job that is pretty demanding. Worry about business if common in sulphur. Fastidious about CERTAIN THINGS, but careless about somethings..
NAT MUR- Often a very introvert and proper individual . At times suppressed emotion is a aetiology. Anxiety about various things, obsessive thoughts, awkward are common with typical features of natrums.
CALC- A person , who worries about work a LOT, even if she is a housewife! Often over weight,sometimes average weight, but may be chubby in childhood. Fear of germs is often seen.
AURUM- Ailment from responsibility at very young age.
RHUS TOX – Restless, lack of sleep is often the cause. Dr P Banerjee protocol recommends this remedy for HTN.
ARGENTUM NIT- Often a anxious, hasty , very nervous and awkward patient. Typical features of argentums are seen.
SNAKE VENOM- esp LACHESIS-Very excitable patients, loquacious, dominating usually , suspicious and doubtful of remedies/ treatment, quick to react and quick to form opinions.
IGNATIA- Often females with PCOS, ambitious , disputative nature.
NUX VOM- Impulsive, ambitious, disputative, irritable , very proper in work/ appearance / profession , fear of disease yet doesn’t rest or follows advice related to taking rest/ leave.
VERATRUM- Looks a somewhat like Lachesis or sulphur. Especially in terms of speech . Typical features of Veratrum seen.
BARYTA CARB- Extremely nervous & contentious. Anxiety about work . Social anxiety. Adult Baryta is not easy to spot, one needs to ask about childhood nature.
ANTERIOR PIT- I have used in cases of multiple endocrine disorder – example pcod + HTN , PCOD + DM , DM + Thyroid dysfunction etc
SANGUINE REMEDIES- Glonoine , Phos, Coffea, Bell are very often useful in HTN.
In initial phase of treatment , mother tincture or specific remedy use if suggested . However after a while every proper homeopath will notice that a constitutional remedy is the best rx for such an illness.
If the patient is already taking allopathy/ antihypertensive meds , we have to taper them carefully as we start out treatment, the target is to let the heart do its function well without any meds at the end,
